Zabalaza Challenge
The Baxter Zabalaza Theatre Festival team are hard at work, preparing for the 14th annual festival, from 08-16 March 2024. As the excitement mounts, with 37 productions and nearly 200 artists on the programme needing our support, we once again appeal to you to join us in the Zabalaza Challenge.
Tickets for these performances are ONLY R30 per ticket, and have been for the last five years! Unfortunately, even R30 is unaffordable for most people. And that is why we started the Zabalaza Challenge.
The Zabalaza Challenge gives you the opportunity to buy tickets for only R30, which The Baxter then distributes to learners, students and groups who cannot afford to purchase tickets themselves. Not only will these tickets be given to learners or communities who cannot afford to purchase them, but the door takings from each show will go straight back to the groups or artists.
Please consider taking on this fantastic Zabalaza Challenge with us by buying some tickets at only R30 each!
You can choose to buy one ticket or one hundred tickets; any amount makes a difference, and we would appreciate your support! We would like to challenge individuals, corporates, theatre practitioners, public members and theatre-makers to join us on this challenge!
All donations made towards the challenge, are eligible for a Section 18A Tax Relief Certificate.
